In 2019, Content Is Still King


In an increasingly digital world content grows more important each year and if you haven’t noticed what is considered content changes just as fast as the demand for it grows. In short content is any piece of information or experience dedicated at an end user. That last part was the most important part, “end user”. After all the reason people create content is to generate a specific action from their targeted audience and in that we start to explore a potential $412 Billion market place. 


Face it, customers can smell a sales pitch a mile away and 73% of people say they despise display/pop up ads. That’s reason enough to change the game plan a bit and innovate the way you connect to potential followers, readers, and purchasers. It’s expected that the content marketing industry will grow in 2019 with 83% of the industry favoring authentic - creative content. By focusing on unique methods and emerging channels such as video and native content you can position yourself to grow your brand immensely and stand out amongst your steadily growing competitor list. Let’s not forget that demographics are constantly shifting, and the way Millennials and Gen Z’s make decisions are heavily influenced by content on platforms such as Snapchat and Instagram. 


Let’s throw some facts and figures there… 

· Content marketing gets three times more leads than paid search advertising. 

· Written articles, videos, and images are the three most engaging types of content on social media. 

· Nearly one-third of the world uses social networks regularly. 

· Product videos can increase purchases by 144%. 

· About 5 billion YouTube videos are viewed on average every day. 

Behind any marketing effort there are always numbers to justify success and the above indicate just how valuable how content can be. 


So, what does all this mean to you? Think of it as a little motivation to get your mind working on some innovative and engaging new content with confidence that the numbers support it. And if you’re a creator by trade this is a great opportunity to put as many man hours into your work as possible without feeling bad about it.
