In February 2009, "Wetter" by Chicago native and musical Icon Twista was released to digital streaming platforms. "Wetter" comes off of Twista's seventh album Category F5, and released as the albums first single. The song features R&B singer Erika Shevon and became Twista's most streamed song to date. Spending time on U.S. Billboard Hot 100, U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and U.S. Billboard Hot Rap Songs, Wetter is definitely a timeless, hood classic.
Diehard Twista fans refer to "Wetter" as part 2 to the 1997 Chicago anthem "Get It Wet".
The 2009 rap-ballad was produced by Samuel "The Legendary Traxster", who also produced hits for Ludacris and Do or Die. Since its release in 09' "Wetter" has attained RIAA certified Gold status, with around 500,000 certified units/sales.
